Introduction to Disaster Relief

Introduction to Disaster Relief Training is for those persons who want to learn about Disaster Relief and see if it is a ministry they would like to be part of.

Training Fee: FREE!

Phase 1 Training

Phase 1 training is required for all volunteers. At this training you will receive an introduction to the Disaster Relief Ministry of Georgia Baptists as well as hands-on training in one of the five ministry areas. Phase 1 trainings are held each January, February, and March in preparation for the storm season.

*Training Fee: $40, Cross-train into another Ministry Area - $40

Recertification Training

Recertification Training is required every 3 years to remain active and can be accomplished at any of the Phase 1 trainings offered in January, February, and March of each year. If attending for recertification in Childcare, Communications, Clean-up & Recovery, or Feeding, attendance is only required at the morning session. If attending for recertification in Chaplaincy, attendance is required at both the morning and afternoon sessions.

*Training Fee: $20

Phase 2 Training

Phase 2 Training is designed for volunteers who sense the Lord leading them to become involved in this ministry at a leadership level.

**Training Fee: $35.
