The Christian Social Ministry began in February 1996 and has been open for 27 years (as of Feb. 2024). Hours of operation – Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This ministry is open to all regardless of religion, race, or location. We serve people in Hawkinsville, Unadilla, and all surrounding counties.
We average about 130 families a week.
Most of the food is purchased from the Macon Food Bank which is part of a non-profit organization. (International Harvest) This food is picked up on Wednesday’s and if you would like to help unload the truck, come to 101 South Second Street, Warner Robins, Ga at 9:30 a.m. Also, the association sends out an email reminder of the 5th Sunday Food Drives throughout the year and all churches are asked to participate.
Volunteers are always needed to work in the office; Counselors; Work back in the food pantry bagging groceries; and sorting and stocking canned goods etc.
Out of 52 churches in the association – only 13 give directly to the CSM and some individuals give. (If you would like to donate to this ministry, please send your check etc. to : Rehoboth Baptist Association, 744 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 - Please make the check out to RBA for CSM.)
